All applications developed in response to a funding announcement are to be routed through the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs (OSRP) for university approval before being released to the external agency. Please inform us of your intent to submit as soon as you know you plan to apply and at least 30 days prior to the due date.    

When there is a limit on the number of proposals that may be submitted for a solicitation, to ensure that the university submits the most competitive proposal, an internal review and selection process will be implemented. Please inform us of your intent to submit as soon as you know you plan to apply and at least 6 weeks prior to the due date or you may miss the internal selection deadline.

Exploratory/Developmental Bioengineering Grants (EBGR)
PA-18-286

Synopsis: The purpose of this FOA is to encourage submission of Exploratory/Developmental Bioengineering Research Grants (EBRG) applications which establish the feasibility of technologies, techniques or methods that: 1) explore a new multidisciplinary approach to a biomedical challenge; 2) are high-risk but have high impact; and 3) develop data that may lead to significant future research. An EBRG application may propose hypothesis-driven, discovery-driven, developmental, or design-directed research and is appropriate for evaluating unproven approaches for which there is minimal or no preliminary data.

Studies of the U.S. Institutes for Student Leaders from the Western Hemisphere
ECA-ECAAE-18-011

Synopsis: The Study of the U. S. Branch (ECA/A/E/USS), Office of Academic Exchange Programs, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), invites proposal submissions from accredited U.S. post-secondary education institutions (community colleges, liberal arts colleges, public and private universities) and other U.S. public and private non-profit organizations meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 USC 501(c)(3) (see section C. Eligibility Information) for the design and implementation of five (5) Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSIs) for Student Leaders from the Western Hemisphere to take place over the course of five weeks beginning in June 2018, pending the availability of FY 2018 funds. Each Institute should focus on one of the following three themes: Public Policymaking (1 Institute); Social Entrepreneurship (2 Institutes); or Women’s Leadership (2 Institutes).
