The MSI CBO HIV Prevention Program (CIHPP) under the Department of Government and History at Fayetteville State University is pleased to announce that the following faculty member, Dr. Maurice Mongkuo, has been invited to be a keynote speaker at the Cumberland County HIV Task Force World Aids Day (WAD) Event at the Smith Recreation Center on December 1, 2017. The HIV Task Force believes that an educated community and one that has access to resources can have a major impact on reducing the spread of this virus and help those infected find and stay in treatment. The HIV Task Force impact has gone beyond the local community to be considered one of the best Task Force in the state and has had a positive influence on those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. Cumberland County HIV Task Force Chair, Pat Whitfield believes Dr. Mongkuo’s speech will positively impact Cumberland County as he has done for Fayetteville State University.
