CDHS Intern Samantha Halam Completes Norfolk State University Research Center of Excellence in Cyber Summer 2017 Internship

Samantha Halam, a Bronco majoring in the dual degree program Computer Science and Computer Engineering, completed all obligations for a five-week cyber internship on the campus of Norfolk State University. Ms. Halam received a $5,000.00 stipend during her final presentation on Friday, July 21, 2017. Additionally, her training included cyber and psychology workshops, team security assignments, computer Malware and communications with top organizations exemplary of Sandia Labs and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Data Forensic Analysis Unit (DFAU).

During fall 2017, a symposium is planned for summer 2017 interns along with Samantha to present to interested faculty, students and staff referencing their federal jobs and research experiences.
