Dr. Ashley Holder and Dr. Brian Phillips, in the Department of Elementary Education will present at the Ninth Annual Technology Institute for Educators (TIFE 2017) at North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina on April 22, 2017. Attendees will learn about Home Base as a platform for student success. Home Base has been implemented nationwide in public schools since 2013-14. This technology component is a way for parents and students to stay aware of students’ academic performance. Home Base increases parental involvement and student performance in K-12 classrooms. According to research, Home Base enhances educational outcomes for students and makes data easily accessible for teachers and administrators.
