FSU Staff Members Accepted to Attend the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Healthy Relationships Training

The MSI CBO HIV Prevention Program (CIHPP) under the Department of Government and History at Fayetteville State University is pleased to announce that the following staff members: Sigrid Crow, Kelisha Graves, and Tamri Graves were accepted to attend the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Healthy Relationships Training in Columbia, SC.  The aforementioned FSU employees were three of the twenty individuals chosen to participate in this highly selective training. The CDC’s Healthy Relationships training is based on the Social Cognitive Theory and is aimed at providing essential coping skills to people living with HIV. These skills allow for better decision-making and problem-solving in regards to whether, when, and how to disclose to family, friends, and sexual partners, as well as how to negotiate healthier and safer sexual relationships. Kelisha, Tamri, and Sigrid have all received certification to facilitate Healthy Relationships on campus and in the community.
