#BroncosGiveBack: Founders Week Giving Challenge

Historically, Fayetteville State University’s (FSU) Founders Day has been a momentous time the Bronco family comes together to commemorate our rich, proud legacy that began nearly 150 years ago. This year, Founders Day will be held on Thursday, April 20.

FSU would like to take its Bronco Pride to the next level by celebrating all week in three unique ways. Regardless of where you find yourself, we hope you will proudly represent what Bronco Pride is all about, “Res Non Verba – Deeds Not Words.”

Starting Monday, April 17 through Friday, April 21, FSU is inviting everyone to participate in its inaugural Founders Week Giving Challenge. As we press towards the finish line of our $25 million Capital Campaign, we are counting on every Bronco to join in and assist. For this special challenge, the aim is to have at least 250 individuals partake in the following:

  1. Make a gift online. Every dollar counts, because your participation counts. Giving online is easy, simple, safe, and secure. Visit our website, uncfsu.edu/ia and click “Donate Now.” You can also give on the go from any cell phone by texting keyword Founders to 41444.
  2. Spread the word. Share photos, selflies, and other posts shouting out Fayetteville State University to let all your friends and followers know why you are “Proud To Be.” Use the hashtag #BroncosGiveBack on social media once you have made your contribution, and challenge your peers to join you.
  3. Wear Bronco blue and white. Show your alma mater pride by wearing a splash of our school colors in your outfits, paraphernalia, or proudly sporting one of our lapel pins each weekday.

The Division of Institutional Advancement will send out an email update each day April 17th-21st, on how we are tracking with our goal. If you would like to receive these and other emails with the latest from FSU, please be sure to update your contact information online or in our Office of Advancement Services, located in the Institutional Advancement Building (previously known as the Continuing Education Building). We will also keep our webpage, www.uncfsu.edu/ia up-to-date with our progress. Whether you are a student, staff or faculty member, parent, alumni, or friend you can join in on the celebration of our proud legacy by investing in our exciting future.
