Department of Government and History and MSI CBO HIV Prevention Program Sponsored Event

“While still prevalent in our culture today from religious ceremonies to cocktail parties, alcoholic beverages have been viewed differently at different times and in different places in our history. In fact, the idea of abstaining altogether from alcohol is a relatively new phenomenon.

Join Dr. Bradley Kadel for an engaging look at alcohol and its history. The presentation will be followed by coffee and refreshments. Coffee houses were once promoted as a great alternative to saloons and taverns. ”
