Fayetteville State University (NC) has been designated a Military Friendly® School “elite” Silver Award winner, a new award established this year. FSU has consistently been designated a Military Friendly® School for the past several years. However, new for 2017, Military Friendly® established awards for colleges to provide a more competitive view of how an institution is performing. The four award categories are: Top 10, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. For specific information on the awards and recipients, visit: http://militaryfriendly.com/methodology/.
Fayetteville State University, a constituent institution of the University of North Carolina system, is known for its support of military-affiliated students by serving large numbers of active duty soldiers, their spouses and families, as well as veterans. FSU offers courses on its main campus, at Fort Bragg Army Base and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina, and its Master of Social Work program at Fort Sam Houston in Texas.
Military Friendly® ratings and resources provide service members and their families with the information they need to make decisions about civilian careers and education opportunities. Thousands of schools and employers assess their efforts to attract and support this group of talented individuals. Military Friendly® schools and employers represent the top tier of institutions who provide the best opportunities for military service members and spouses. The survey-driven Military Friendly® lists have been published every year since 2003. Today Military Friendly® Schools and Military Friendly® Employers lists are published annually in G.I.
